So, the Tories have selected Rehman Chishti as their Prospective Parliamentary Candidate.
Good luck to them, they'll need it.
Good luck to them, they'll need it.
I walk or cycle past the former Rainham Police Station site nearly every day, and I'm struck again this year with how overgrown it's become. Last summer (2006) I made a nuisance of myslef with the Police Authority's Estates section, the "contact point" in Station Road (itself a very poor substitute for the Police Station) and the Council. Finally, after about three months, the contractors came out and did a bit of tidying up. A couple of weeks ago I took some photographs of the site and sent them to our new Tory Councillor, David Carr. So far, I've had an acknowledgement and a note that he's raised it at the Rainham Town Partnership meeting, the chairman of which agreed to get it sorted. That was on the 22nd June, and nothing's happened yet.
